Dr. Mahnaz Ahmad


Dr.  Ahmad is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, with a Masters in Health Education from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Dr. Ahmad obtained her medical degree from Dhaka Medical College in Bangladesh.  In 2011, she joined Providence Medical Group as Medical Director of the Long Term Care Program to design, implement and lead a city-wide long-term care program, with the goal of reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and emergency room visits.  Dr. Ahmad joined Landmark Health in May 2015 as the Regional Medical Director for the Portland market. Dr. Ahmad was named as a Top Doctor in Portland Monthly and also was named as one of America’s Top Geriatricians in the “US News and World Report”. Dr. Ahmad is passionate about elder care, and has published and spoken about elder care, elder abuse, and the diagnosis and treatment of dementia.
